Tiled background

The Tiled background object displays a repeating pattern:

Using a Tiled background is much more efficient than using multiple Sprite object: The Tiled background object is designed to be able to display a very large pattern while display lots of Sprite can decrease performances.

It is also much more convenient to use a Tiled background object in a scene editor: Just add the object and resize it so as it covers the area you want. You can then lock the object to work on the others objects without moving the background (see the Scene editor page to get more information about locking objects).
